Although Saddam is a lot better than the comedies in cinema these days, its problem is that it relies too much on Attaran. This decisiveness of Attaran is not only related to his resemblance to Saddam, but it is basically as if the film was written for him and the jokes make sense with his presence.
The acting in the film is good, although some of it seems repetitive. Reza Attaran is the same as always, but he still works and will probably win the hearts of his audience with his stunts in the public screening.
Azadeh Samadi plays the role of a nervous and violent woman, which she has played before, in a funny way, and Abbas Jamshidi and Parinaz Izadyar also manage to keep the audience company. This is also the first film in which Izadyar has played a humorous role.
In addition to emphasizing Attaran’s usual sarcasm and creating comic situations, Saddam also intends to take a closer look at observing the basics of screenwriting! It is not far-fetched that part of this effort is due to the presence of Pedram Pouramiri as director and writer.
